What is this?
The Trades Winds to Success program is a service for Indigenous Peoples, offered by Indigenous Peoples interested in the Trades.
Who can apply for this?
You can apply if you're:
- 18 years or older
- First Nations
- Metis
- Inuit
- Willing to partake in any of the available trades within the program
How can I apply for this program?
To apply, you must first call to attend an information session here: 780-471-9100
After you’ve completed the initial screening during the information session, you will be asked to fill out the application form. To retrieve it, they will email it to you, or you can pick one up at their office.
There will also be an academic assessment to see where you are currently with basic Math and English skills. This is a requirement for their training. If you don’t meet the qualifications, a referral will be made to upgrade for the program.
Is there any cost to this program?
No, this is a free pre-apprenticeship training program.
